Bei dem Baustoff Textilbeton handelt es sich um einen Verbundwerkstoff aus dem Materialien Beton und einer textilen Bewehrung. Der Beton weist ein Größtkorn von 4mm auf und wird deshalb als Feinbeton bezeichnet. Als textile Bewehrung kommen Fasern, Gewebe und Endlosfaserstränge, auch als Roving bezeichnet zum Einsatz. Als Materialien werden Aramid, Glasfasern und Carbon verwendet. In der vorliegenden Studie wird ein kurzer Überblick über den Entwicklungsstand des Textilbetons gegeben. Weiterhin wird untersucht inwieweit der Textilbeton als Korrosionsschutz im schweren Säurebau eine Verwendung finden kann. Dies macht es notwendig, dass Beständigkeitsuntersuchungen am Textilbeton, bei Verwendung verschiedenster textiler Bewehrungsmaterialien, durchgeführt werden. Als Bewehrungsmaterial wurden Acryl- und Glasfasern, Glasfaserrovings und ein Mischgewebe, welches aus den Materialien Glas und Polypropylen besteht, eingesetzt. Die Textilbetonproben wurden dann auf ihre Druckfestigkeit, Biegezugfestigkeit, Wasseraufnahme und Porosität hin geprüft. Um die Beständigkeit der Textilien bestimmen zu können, wurden Probekörper nass- /trocken gelagert und im basischen Milieu (pH-Wert ungefähr 12) gelagert. Damit der Textilbeton im schweren Säurebau eingesetzt werden kann muss er ein dichtes Gefüge aufweisen. Dies bedeutet, dass nur ein porenarmer Feinbeton zum Einsatz kommen kann. Das dichte Gefüge wird erreicht durch Verwendung von Zusatzstoffen, wie Microsilica und Steinkohlenflugasche und einem darauf abgestimmten Zuschlag. Hochfeste Betone mit Druckfestigkeiten größer 100N/mm² weisen ein dichtes Gefüge auf und sind damit für den Einsatz im Säurebau geeignet. Ein weiteres Ziel dieser Studie war es silberhaltige Fasern homogen in die Betonmatrix zu verteilen. Aufgrund dessen, dass diese Fasern bisher nur in der Textilindustrie Verwendung finden, ist die Verwendung dieser Fasern im Textilbeton als „Neuland“ zu bezeichnen. Ziel weiterer Untersuchungen wird es sein, ob mit silberhaltigen Fasern im Beton ein Bakterienwachstum auf der Betonoberfläche zu verhindern ist.
