Fachbuch aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Medizin - Therapie, , Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Rahmen ihrer Therapeutentätigkeit ist die Autorin vor einigen Monaten von Pflegekräften gefragt worden: „Wie können Kontrakturen befundet und dokumentiert werden und wo kann man - Jahre nach der Ausbildung - zeitsparend nachschlagen, wie die praktische Ausführung (Grifftechniken und Bewegungsrichtungen) aussehen sollte?“

Eine Internet- und Literaturrecherche ergab, dass es viele Bücher und zunehmend auch Abschlussarbeiten von Studierenden der Pflegewissenschaften zum Thema Kontrakturprophylaxe gibt. Allerdings behandeln diese Bücher bzw. Arbeiten das Thema entweder als eines unter vielen Prophylaxethemen oder eher unter dem Aspekt der pflegerischen Strategien und bleiben damit mehr oder weniger theoretisch.

Die Vermittlung der Kenntnisse zur Kontrakturprophylaxe ist fester Bestandteil der Ausbildung aller Pflegeberufe. Doch im Pflegealltag ist aufgrund von Personalknappheit und Zeitdruck zu beobachten, dass diese erworbenen Kenntnisse oftmals nicht ausreichend eingesetzt und dadurch wieder verlernt werden.

Die Auswirkungen von Kontrakturen reichen von der Einschränkung einzelner Bewegungen bis zur Unfähigkeit, komplexe Bewegungsabläufe auszuüben und münden damit im ungünstigsten Falle im Verlust der Selbständigkeit und Selbstbestimmtheit.

Da die Autorin an einer Fachschule für Altenpflege seit über 11 Jahren vorwiegend praktisch unterrichtet - unter anderem auch Kontrakturprophylaxe -, kam die Idee zu dem vorliegenden Buch auf. Es ist ein Buch mit vielen Informationen rund um die Kontrakturprophylaxe und vor allem vielen Bildern zur Praxisanleitung geworden.

Dieses Buch soll allen Pflegenden eine Hilfe in der praktischen Durchführung und bei der Dokumentation sein. Aber auch Physio- und Ergotherapeuten (bzw. Schüler) können das Buch als „Refresher-Kurs“ betrachten und vielleicht den einen oder anderen Praxis-Tipp für sich entdecken.
