Der indianisch aussehende Berliner macht ein Praktikum im nahe gelegenen Husum, benimmt sich durchweg merkwürdig und scheint in der Nacht auf geheimnisvolle Art aus dem Schuppen zu verschwinden. Kian ist Feli ein Rätsel und doch fühlt sie sich irgendwie zu ihm hingezogen.
Kompliziert und gefährlich wird ihr Leben, als sie ihn eines Nachts zur Rede stellen will und er sich unter ihrem Griff unvermittelt in Luft auflöst. Wer ist Kian? Oder sollte sie fragen, was er ist? Könnte er sogar mit den für die Gegend ungewöhnlichen Wirbelstürmen zu tun haben, die ihre Heimat heimsuchen?
Doch auch Feli ist kein gewöhnlicher Mensch. Kian ist fasziniert von dem schönen Mädchen, das mit der Natur zu kommunizieren scheint, und verunsichert von ihrem Blick, mit dem sie in ihm zu lesen droht. Er fürchtet um sein dunkles Geheimnis, möchte aber zugleich ihres ergründen. So beginnt ein interessantes, bissiges, manchmal auch lustiges Katz-und-Maus-Spiel, bei dem die beiden sich ineinander verlieben.
