Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2002 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Arbeit, Betrieb, Organisation und Wirtschaft, Note: 1,0, FernUniversität Hagen (Institut für Psychologie / FB Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In etwa fünf Jahrzehnten seiner Entwicklung vom Großraumrechner zum Personal-Computer erlebte der Computer den Einzug ins Einzel-mitarbeiterbüro, das Arbeitszimmer zu Hause und sogar ins Kinder-zimmer. Anfangs noch ein Utensil, das aufgrund seiner Unerschwing-lichkeit nur Universitäten, Forschungseinrichtungen, und teils sogar nur den Geheimdiensten und den staatlichen Verteidigungsinstanzen vorbehalten war, ist der Personal-Computer mittlerweile ein Alltagswerkzeug für jederman.
In dieser Abhandlung soll es vornehmlich um die Untersuchung der Interaktion zwischen dem Computer und dem Menschen in seiner Ar-beitsumgebung gehen. Es wird dabei differenziert zwischen dem Menschen und seiner Arbeitssituation auf der einen Seite und der Computerhardware und der Software auf technischer Seite und es wird die gegenseitige Einflußnahme der vier Komponenten untersucht. Nach kurzer Einführung einiger wichtiger, im Verlauf der Arbeit verwendeter Begriffe wird der Computer auf seine Werkzeugeigenschaft hin untersucht. Behandelt werden die Interaktionskanäle von Mensch und Computer und deren Entwicklung, Anforderungen des Menschen in der Arbeitssituation mit dem Computer bzw. der Software, und andererseits den hohen Anforderungen, die der moderne Personal-Computer und seine Software für die Bewältigung der Arbeitsaufgaben des Menschen erfüllen müssen.
Desweiteren werden unterschiedliche Aspekte und Prozesse der Computer- bzw. Softwarenutzung in einem Unternehmen nachgezeichnet und hierfür günstige Internalisierungsmaßnahmen vorgestellt, wonach letzlich ein Ausblick über den Nutzen, die Richtlinien und die Gefahren, die sich aus der Verwendung des Computers bzw. der Software im Unternehmen ableiten, diese Arbeit abschließt.
Abschließend sei erwähnt, daß in dieser Arbeit ausdrücklich zwischen der Verwendung eines Computers als solchem und der Verwendung von Software unterschieden wird. Dem wird regelmäßig dadurch Rechnung getragen, daß beides voneinander getrennt und gleichberechtigt genannt wird. Der Unterschied ergibt sich aus der Tatsache, daß mit der Verwendung eines Computers das Gerät an sich, also der Computer als „Hardware“ zu verstehen ist, und diese entsprechend andere Auswirkungen, wie etwa Vermeidungstenden-zen und Reaktanz ggü. dem Computer als neuem Arbeitsgerät u.ä. nach sich zieht, als etwa die Einführung neuer Software in ein Unternehmen mit einem im EDV-Bereich bereits versierteren Personal.
