Eine Hausarbeit, die sich mit der italienischen "Jugendsprache" beschäftigt, muss, bevor sie sich mit den Charakteristika dieser beschäftigt, erst einmal klären, was "Jugendsprache" eigentlich ist. Eigentlich ist die Erklärung ganz einfach: "Jugendsprache" ist die Sprache der Jugend. Doch diese Definition nährt den Mythos, es gäbe eine Sprache, deren Besitzer ausschließlich die Jugend wäre und die nur von Jugendlichen gesprochen würde. Sprachwissenschaftler sehen "Jugendsprache" heute als ein komplexes sprachliches Register. Des Weiteren betont die Psychologie, dass die Jugendlichen häufig in zwei "Wertwelten" leben, die zum einen durch die Eltern und zum anderen durch die Altergenossen geprägt werden. Diese zwei Wertwelten können großen Einfluss auf die Sprache haben. Je nachdem, mit wem die Jugendlichen kommunizieren, wechseln sie von einem Sprachsystem in ein anderes.1 Allgemein kann man sagen, dass es so viele Jugendsprachen wie Gruppen Jugendlicher gibt.2 Bis heute wird von der neueren Jugendsprachenforschung die Frage gestellt, ob die so genannten Jugendsprachen – also auch die italienische – wirklich als solche bezeichnet werden können. Liegt hier nicht vielmehr eine Verwechslung mit den Sondersprachen vor, aus denen eine Vielzahl der heutigen Jugend ihren Wortschatz rekrutiert? Auch die italienische Jugendsprache müsste demzufolge als Sondersprache bezeichnet werden, da sie ihr Potential größtenteils aus den Sondersprachen – allen voran der Gaunersprache und dem Drogenjargon – schöpft. Diese Problemstellung soll im Folgenden geklärt werden.3
